Carat is a unit measurement. It is a weight measurement. There are 100 points in one carat. The larger the weight, the cleaner the stone, the more intense the colour and the finest proportions used in its cutting process creating a more expensive stone.

Whilst all of this applies to Pinks, the colour is the main factor to consider.
